Bitcoin Jumpstart

What is a bitcoin?

A bitcoin (BTC) is a form of cryptocurrency first recognized by a Japanese pseudonymous developer named Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. It is a new form of electronic cash system wherein transactions are done by sending units to bitcoin adresses or wallets. A bitcoin is subdivided to eight decimal places (0.00000000). It has three subunits:

a).001 = mBTC (millicoin)
b).000001 = μBTC (microcoin)

c).00000001 = satoshi

Bitcoins for newbies

For those who are new to bitcoins and would like to earn some, one must have a bitcoin wallet first to use for transactions. Register now for a wallet if you still don't have one.

Once you've registered, you'll be able to log into your dashboard where your bitcoin address will be.
It would look like a series of cap and small letters and numbers (e.g. 1AiD8qRpcdQM2D617Q7zm7ixBxTehrP3vY). Now for the hunting part.
